Being on a marvelous diving trip in Norway, the question arises: What next? Egypt is cancelled, Truck too far away ...  But hey, the second best place for diving on wrecks is Scapa Flow in northern Scotland. And yes, it's the best place on the world to see WW-I wrecks! There are the eight biggest battle cruisers of the Imperial fleet still waiting for you in a depth between 20 and 40m. Check it out at www.scapaflow.com.

Let's have some brainstorming. Please, come 20/10 at 14:00h to my place. We'll have nittykesti: everyone brings, what he/she needs. Depending on the weather, we can grill. Best come by bus (105, 107 and 109 from Kamppi).

Sure I'm interested - like last time!

My English dive buddies Tim & Liz (frequent visitors to the place) suggest the following:

Hi Olli, we use MV Karin run by John Thornton  (http://www.scapaflow.com/). He is an excellent skipper and very good diver himself. The boat is comfortable and we stayed on board. However we moored up in harbour most nights making it easy to go to a pub or restaurant. We got a ferry from Scrabster in Northern Scotland . You order a wheeled trolley for dive kit and luggage . I'm not sure how best to get there from Finland. If you contact john Thornton he may be able to suggest what other groups from Finland have done to travel across. You'll love it!

Maaliskuussa on Hyvinkäältä lähdössä 6 sukeltajaa Scapa Flow-reissulle, livikselle ja etsivät laivalle porukkaa jotta heidän reissu toteutuu, oletteko samaa reissua vai pitäisikö teitä pariuttaa? En edes tiedä mikä reissunne status on mutta tosiaan, eräs taho ilmaisi huolensa ettei heidän livis täyty millään ja muistelin että täältäkin oli sinne tehty suunnitelmia.

Muutaman päivän sisällä julkaistaan Nousu:n sivuilla Scapaflow retki.

Viikon pituinen liveaboard alkaa 14.10.2017.
